We are glad to announce that Mrs. Richard Watts has been secured as successor to Mrs. Campbell. Mrs. Watts before marriage was Miss Martha Foster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Foster, a highly regarded family of the West Clinton commun ity. Woman’s Club To Meet The Woman’s club will meet Tues day night, January 16, at 7:30 at the community center. Woman’s Society Meets The regular monthly meeting of the Woman’s Missionary Society of Bailey Memorial church was held Monday evening at the home of Mrs. L. C. Ficklin. The devotional was given by Mrs. Joe Terry, taken from the 40th Psalm 1-10 and Hebrews 1-10. Mrs and Mrs. Arthur Sanders and children, Mrs. Annie Mae Caughman, Mrs. Willie Mae Riley and Joe Caughman visited Mrs. Zelma Regers who is a patient at the University hospital in Augusta, Ga., Sunday. Ted Ward is stationed at San An tonio, Texas He recently enlisted in the air corps. Mr. and Mrs. Will Hampton, Mr. i and Mrs. Clarence MoAlbee visited The minutes of the last meeting were read and the roll called by the secretary and business was discussed. The lesson of the evening was a story read by Mrs. Holland, after which each member turned to a verse of Scripture, reading it and using it as a New Year’s resolution. The hostess served a salad course with cookies and coffee. The meeting adjourned with pray er. The February meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. R. E. Sulli van on Gordon street. Pentecostal Church Elects Officers The Pentecostal Holiness Youth So ciety of the local church on Jackson street recently elected the following officers: president, Boyd Gaskin; vice-president, C. L. Brasfield, Jr.; secretary-treasurer, Nell Canfield; program directors, Sylvia Braswell, and Mrs. Wrenn. C. L. Brasfield and Carl Sexton were appointed youth evangelists. Both are senior ministerial students at Presbyterian college. Miss Sylvia Braswell was|moned for consultation will get to- appointed pianist. Bailey Memorial Church Notes On Saturday evening a group of men met at the church for the pur pose of discussing the matter of the' orgainzation of a Men’s club in the church.
