Carols after which Mrs. Howard pre
sented the teacher of the class, Mrs.
J. J. Smith, with sixteen pieces of her
chosen silver. Other than guests in

Campfire Girls Have Party
The intermediate Campfire girls
were entertained with a Christmas
party Monday afternoon at the com
munity house by their guardian, Mrs.
Claud Trammell.
Christmas carols were sung and a
Christmas story rendered by Beth
Trammell. Several games erf bingo
were enjoyed.
The entertainment committee con
sisting of Pat Cunningham, Peggy
Dunaway and Shirley Ivester, plan
ned the party and presided over the
games. The parents were invited
and enjoyed the occasion Later
gifts were exchanged.
A salad course, sandwiches and
punch were served.
Christmas Program Planned
The Sunday schocft of Calvary Bap
tist church will have its Christmas
program Wednesday evening, De
cember 20 beginning at 7 o'clock.
The children, ages 1-12, who are
members of the Sunday school, will
be presented a gift. There will be
a Christmas tree and those who wish
may bring a gift for members of
their family and friends and Santa
Claus will be present to see that the
gifts are delivered The public it
invited to attend.

Mrs. Olaud Walleimne entertained
at a dinner Sunday honoring her twin
sisters, Mrs. Ruth Ballew of Greer,
and Mrs Rachel Ballenger of Green
wood.

J. L. Smith and family of Coronaca;
Mrs. Geneva Coker and Dormie Bal
lenger of Greenwood; Mrs. Russell

being ill.
