The Tax Books are now open at the office of the Town Clerk and will remain open up to and through December 31st. A penalty of ten (10%) shall be added if said taxes are not paid on or before January 1, 1951. Birthday Party Enjoyed Mrs. Otis Smith gave a surprise birthday dinner Sunday honoring Mr. Snryth Besides the family at tending the dinner were Mrs. Cora Rogers and son of Union; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Patterson, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Grant and Mr. and Mrs. R C. McGinnis of Clinton. Mr. Smith received several gifts. Home Lost By Fire Rev. and Mrs. Moms Frye lost their home on Cypress street by fire Sunday.
