Mrs. Anna Stone is a patient at
the General hospital in Greenville,
where she underwent an operation
on Thursday.
Mrs. Claud Wallenzine is yhprov-
ing after an illness.
Mrs. Walker Osborne has been ill
several days.
Mrs. Joe Land, Miss Alma Spillers
and Catherine Dunaway entertained
the guests with numerous games and
contests.
Later in the evening the bride-

Weiner Roast Enjoyed
The young people’s BTU of Cal
vary Baptist church enjoyed a weiner
roast Saturday evening at Mary Lou
stock farm. During the evening a
beautiful set of cuff links were pre
sented Joe Lester.
Enjoy Outing
The intermediate BTU met Mon
day afternoon and motored to the
Mary Lou stock farm where the>
enjoyed a picnic. They were accom
panied by Mrs. J. W. Spillers, Mr.
and Mrs. Louie Webb, Misses Polly
Brazil and Mary Ellen Cannon..

time all are given a special invita
tion to be present, thus regaining j
normal attendance after the summer

servance of World-Wide Communion
Sunday on October 1, at which time
the Communion of the Lord’s Supper
will be celebrated in a special ser
vice. The pastor will secure a spec
ial speaker for this day to deliver
the Communion Meditation .'and
special music will be provided.
Other programs for the church will
be announced in the local paper ac
cording to future schedule.
