Presbyterian Church Groups Hold Meet Monday evening in the church par lors of the First Presbyterian church, the August meeting of the combined circles and Women-of-the-Church was held with a large number in attendance. Mrs. George W. Taylor opened the meeting with prayer. A short busi ness session followed with the pres ident, Mrs. Hubert Boyd, presiding. A delegate to the recent Women- of-th.e-Church conference in Mon treal, Mrs. George Bellingrath, gave 1 *.n account of the proceedings there. Dr. John Harris gave a talk on “Great Prayers of the Bible’’ in a continuation of the circles study of j the subject, and closed the meeting with prayer. Heavy 8-oz. C., Aug. 14—Miss Margaret Whiteside Williams, be came the bride of Reese Wyle Le&she of Columbia and Lesslie in a cere mony at 5:30 p. m. Saturday. The Rev. W. R. Echols, pastor of the bride and the bridegroom, per formed the double ring ceremony at the Neely’s Creek Associate Refor med Presbyterian church. An effective background for the vows was formed of pine, fern and palms. A central arrangement of wnite gladioli was used. Lighled candles in seven branched candelabra coiripleted the setting. The wedding music was given by Mis. Starr Chambers, organist, Miss Louise Bagwell of Clinton and Green ville and Martin Lesslie soloists. Herman Lesslie of Greenville and Lesslie, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Miss Lucy Faye Sharpe of New port was maid of honor. Miss Sharpe wore an orchid gown of organdy, ov er taffeta which featured double col lars forming short sleeves, fitted bod ice and full skirts. The bridesmaids were Miss Eliza beth Gettys of Lesslie, cousin of the bride, and Miss Patsy Parks of Fort Mill. They wore green gowns styled as that of the honor attendant.
