Woman's Club To Meet
On Thursday, July 20, the Wom-

Cub Scouts Visit Airport
The Cub Scouts of Lydia visited
the Laurens airport last Thursday.
They had been doing some interest
ing work on building model air
planes.
Junior Team Tied For Top Place
The Lydia Junior baseball team
is tied for up place with Joanna.
Each team has won seven games and
lost four.
Their next games will be played at
Lydia and Joanna. Bobby Kitchens
Club 16 Meets
Club 16 met at the community cen
ter Monday evening at 7:30. The
vice-president, Mrs. Devola Hellams,
presided at a short business meeting. I
The members were invited to the
swimming pool for recreation.
Campfire Girls Worker In
Community
Mrs. Hall A. Siddall, regional field
advisor for Campfire Girls, Inc., is
now in Clinton working with Camp
fire groups at Lydia and Clinton
Mills. During her stay she will con
duct a training course for Campfire
Guardians for this area.
Monday afternoon at 6 o’clock
Mrs. Siddall met with a group of par
ents and leaders at the Lydia com
munity center. The leaders and par
ents from the Clinton Mills commun
ity were invited to hear Mrs. Saddall
talk of the advantages a girl receives
for life by being a Campfire Girl and
of the importance of a parent’s
knowledge of Campfire work.
The Woman’s club, sponsor for the
Lydia organization, was hostess to
