Walter group of Bridge Party Is Enjoyable Affair Friday afternoon Mrs. Danhofi entertained a friends at bridge. Four tables were in play with Mrs. I. M. Adair winning top hon ors and Mrs. A. D. Salter second. Floating prize went to Mrs. D. O. Rhame. After cards were laid aside the hostess served a tempting salad course, tea and cookies. Gladioli and roses in modernistic arrav with floating arrangements of gardenias in the living room and den and blue hydrangeas in the hall made a pretty background for the party. White gladioli and hydran geas were beautifully arranged with pine in the dining room. Monroe-Lynn Rehearsal Party Friday evening after the rehearsal for the Monroe-Lynn rites the wed ding party and out-of-ToWn guests were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Don Boyd, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Pru itt, Jr. of McCormick at the Boyd home near here. Refreshments of assorted sand wiches, ham biscuit, dainties and wedding cake were served buffet style in the dining room. Punch was served in the hall. The beautifully embossed wedding cake, placed on a reflector and encircled with gar denias and fern centered the refresh ment table. This arrangement was complimented by white lighted ta pers in silver holders with satin bows at opposite ends of the table. Elsewhere in the receiving rooms daisies and gladioli were used in decoration. Miss Agnes Davis assisted the hostesses in the courtesies of en tertaining. Mrs. Henderson Compliments Newcomer In compliment to Mrs. Darwin Sessions who recently moved here from Greenville, Mrs. Caldwell Hen derson entertained with a dessert bridge Thursday afternoon. Three tables were appointed for refreshments and a sweet course was served when the guests assem bled. Mrs. John William King was awarded high score prize and the guest of honor was remembered with a gift. For the occasion arrangements of gladioli were decorative in the card rooms. Renno Bride-Elect Feted In Johnston , A lovely party was given by Miss Annie Maxwell Halford at her home *n J-ahnsUm Saturday honoring Miss Jean Copeland of Renno who will be married August 9 to Ralph Ow en Yonce of Johnston.
