Coley Campbell has been ill sev eral weeks. Birthday Party On Tuesday about twenty-five little girls and boys gathered at the home of Mike Sanders for a party in honor of his 4th birthday. Several outdoor games were en joyed, after which Mrs. Sanders, as- ' sisted by Mrs. Helen Britten, Mrs. ( Rosa Sanders and Mrs. Rudolph Barker, served ice cream and cake. Sanders Mrs. Pearl Davis Sanders. 57, wife of Richard T. Sanders, died early Thursday morning at the Blalock clinic after a one-week illness. Mrs. Sanders was a native of Spar- , tabburg county but had made her home in Clinton for 15 years. She was a member of Calvary ■ Baptist !church. I Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Tucker of this city; three sons, Leroy of Clinton, James B. of WinstonSalem, N. C., and Edward L. Sanders of Michigan.
