Neal celebrated his 69th birthday May 23. A. B. Davis has a birthday June 3rd. • | Miss Thelma Dunaway had a birthday May 30. Mrs. Nannie P. Trammell Mrs. Nannie P. (Ma) Trammell, 66, wife of R. T. Trammell, died Sun day morning at her home after sev eral years of declining health. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon from Calvary Baptist church,' conducted by her astor. Rev. X W. Spillers, assisted y Rev. R. D. Gregg. Interment followed in Rosemont cemetery. Both at the church and grave a large as semblage of friends gathered to pay a last tribute to to one who was highly regarded by all who knew her. She was a friend and had many friends. Many beautiful flowers were banked upon her grave indi cating the love arid esteem in which she was held. Pallbearers were Vernon Tram mell, Houston Trammell, Albert Trammell, William* Blakely, Albert Blakely, and Jack Blakely. The honorary escort consisted of the ladies of the Bible class. Mrs. Trammell was a native of' Union county but had made her j home in Laurens county for the past 50 years._ She was a member, of! Calvary Baptist church where she taught the ladies Bible class for 25 years. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. J. C. Davenport and Mrs. Grady Smith; four sons, Claud, Roy, Clyde and Alvin Tram mell of this city; two sisters, Mrs. B. W. Blakely of this city and Mrs. J. C. Blakely of Ora; two Iwothers, Paul and J. L. Prince, of Laurens, and 12 grandchildren. I ^md the pastor, Rev. J. W. Spillers. Mrs. Nellie Dunaway Passes j Mrs. Nellie Dunaway, 82, died j Sunday morning at the home of her son. Howard Dunaway, on • Davis | street after several years of de clining health. She is survived by two sons, How ard and Grady Dunaway of Clinton, and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Mon day afternoon at 3 o|clock at the home of her son, Howard Dunaway, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Satter field. Interment followed in Rose mont cemetery. Ray Pinckney Cannon Ray Pinckney Cannon, 30, died suddenly Monday morning at his home on Jackson street after a brief illness. He was a native of Ware Shoals but had made his home in Clinton for 20 years. He was a son of William and Mary Medlock Can non. He was a veteran of World army. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Cannon of Clin ton; four sisters and three brothers, Mrs. D. Bagwell of Clinton, Mrs. J. C. Harmon of Ward, Miss Mary Ellen Cannon of Clinton, MrS. Cecil Walker of Laurens, Willie, Robert and Nathan Cannon, all of Clinton. Funeral services were held yes terday afternobn at 4 o’clock at Cal vary Baptist church. The Rev. J. W. Spillers was assisted by the Rev. C. J. Sexton. Interment was in Rose mont cemetery. , Pallbearers were Pete Barker, James Smith, Allen' Simmons, Gregg Rowe, Houston Trammell, and Doug las Young. Class Remembers Mrs. Amick The members of the Winsome Sunday school class of Calvary Bap tist church held their monthly meet ing at the home of their teacher. Mrs. R. B. Amick. In the absence of the president, Mrs. Amick had charge and presidec over the business session. After the business hour a social period wat enjoyed. Mrs. Amick was remembered with many useful gifts for her new home from the members of the class. Refreshments were served. Jasper Bullman Jasper Bullman, 39, died at his home near Clinton early Monday. He had been ill one week. Mr. Bull- man was a native of Union county but had made his home here for the past several years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Dower Bullman; one sister, Mrs. Mary 'Simmons of Grand Rapids, Mich. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 3 o’clock by the Rev. R. H.
