‘Trances began having at

was two weeks old. I have
had to stay up nights hold
ing her because I thought
each gasping breath would
be her last.
“For 13 years I saw my
daughter suffer death with
these suffocating spells of
asthma. Attacks would Last
as long as two to three
months and ever since she
was 3 years old, she has had
to sleep in a rocking chair
during the attacks. She
made so much noise gasping
for breath that she could be
heard ah o.?r the hou e. Only those who have-witnessed
some one in the throe* <*f an asthmatic attack can under
stand the awful suffering experienced by Frances during

a.most e ery morning. She has gone to school many days
after suffering such nauseating spells that she lost her
breaxtast. toe sc hool teacher has sent Frances home
many tiroes because it looked as if she would die during
one of the attacks.
“When I carried France* to Dr. C. J. Hart, of Laurens,
S. C., she had been in the throes of an asthmatic attack
f>r six weeks. She was sleeping in a platform rocker
every night and, was nauseated every morning, keeping
practically nothing on her stomach.
"The results that Frances received the first day under
Dr. Hart’s care convinced me that our search for her
health had finally ended. She was able to sleep in bed the
FIRST NIGHT after receiving her FIRST Chiropractic
spinal adjustment. The next morning Frances ate her
breakfast and went to school without the nauseating sick
spells. Even the school teacher noticed the improvement
shown in one day. ^

Refreshments of tuna f_sh salad,
dainty sandwiches, cheese biscuit/,
bride's cakes and tea were served
buffet style

gifts for her home which she opened
and passed.

G. A. Banquet
The mother-daughter Girls' Auxil
iary banquet was held Saturday night
at the Baptist church. The entire
banquet, including the program and
food w-as carried out in a fairyland
fantasy.
The invocation was given by Judy
Dunlap. Linda Buchanan gave the
“Fairy Welcome." and Mrs. J. O.
Hueble the ‘God-Mother’s Response.”
A poem. “Our Mothers.” by Pat Carr,
was followed with a piano selection,
(“Light Fantastic,” by Miss Betty Jo
Sloan. Miss Betty Thomas gave a
reading. “Wee-Meg-Barnileg.” Mrs.
D. C. Bomar, WMU state president,
of Ridge Springs, acted as the “Fairy
God-Mother,” and was the evening
speaker. Miss Dorothy Mason was
the “Fairy Queen” and acted as the
master of ceremonies.
The delightful evening was closed
with a prayer by Rev. James Mitch-
eU.

at her home in the apartments after
a stay in Joanna hospital.

Sumter street recuperating from a
recent operation.
