Rogers Bros. Circus
Coming To Town For
Two Performances
The circus is coming to town! Yes
sir, kids (and that means all you
youngsters from 6 to 60), the Big
Rogers Bros. 4-ring circus will come
to Clinton for 2 performances at 3
and 8 p. m., with the doors opening
at 2 and 7 p. m. to see the Big Free
Menagerie. The date is Tuesday, May
16.
Rogers Bros. Circus is being
brought to Clinton under the spon
sorship of the Kiwanis club and
proceeds are for the benefit of the
organization. All members have tick-

receives 50 per cent of the advance
sales.
This year the Rogers Bros. Circus
is a bigger and better circus than
ever, being the only 4-rina motor
ized circus on tour—carrying 65 mo

about 200 animals; and the only mo
torized circus carrying a free me
nagerie in which may be seen ele
phants, tigers, lions, panthers, pu
mas, bears, monkeys, baboons, and
other wild life from the four corners
of the globe.

Supervisor Race
R. L. Teague, of Laurens, an
nounces his candidacy in today’s pa
per for supervisor, bringing the num
ber of aspirants for the office to
three.
Mr. Teague is well known in the
county and formerly served as su
pervisor.
“By my experience and knowledge
of road building, I feel I am well
qualified for the office,” he said, in
making his announcement.

been selected to act as District chair
man for the local chapter of the
National Federation of Independent
Business, it is announced by Don
Schiman, district manager of the
Federation.
The main activity of the District
chairman, Mr. Schiman said, is to
tabulate ballots voted by local mem
bers which concern issues and hills
in Congress of national importance
and forward the ballots to the con
gressman.
