An Easter cantata, "When Christ
Arose” (by Forrest G. Walter), will
be presented by the combined choirs*
of. the Baptist church under the di
rection of Prof. Milton Moore on
Sunday evening at 7:30. Soloists for
tfie cantata are Mrs. Frances Giles,
Miss Betty Jo Sloan, O. F. Murphy
and Prof. Moore.
Included in the program will be
“God So Loved the World” (by J.
Stainer), and “The Hallelujah Cho
rus” (Handel). *

Surprise Party
Friends of Mrs. Pete Evans and
Mrs. Pauline Sease dropped in at the
i home of Mrs. Evans and a delight
fully surprised both ladies with a
birthday party. For the celebration
there were two large cakes, one pink
and white tend one white, both being
decorated witk burning candles.
Refreshments were served to about
25 guests. The honored guests opened
their surprise gifts and passed them
around.
