Mrs. Marshall Brown, president of
the Clinton Garden club, gave the
following report for the organization
at thc East Piedmont Regional meet

The name of the club which I rep

organized in 1947. The 175 members
are divided into seven groups of 25
each. The time of meeting Js thc

After the last meeting, in May,
we will have had 5 general meetings,
3 group meetings, and 1 garden tour
The year's program includes 3 lec

mas meeting), and on magnolias, and
2 colored sound moving pictures on
the culture of roses, and on birds.
Material for the September group
meeting on fall gardening was ob

Working cooperatively, the Clin

the two towns, on Highway No. 76.
This year, for the first time, the
Clinton club has a bird chairman.
In October the club assumed re
sponsibility for selling 33 bird houses
which were built by the cub scouts
from scrap material donated by the
local building supply dealers. Of the
$33.50 collected, $23.50 was given to
the Parent Teachers association and
the remaining $10.00 was given to
supplement a fund which the cub
scout leader used to buy a gift for
