his ministry in Ephesus, Paul wrote
to strengthen the Ephesians in fol
lowing the Christian way. For ev
ery sin he names, he points to the
better way. See Ephesians 4: 25-32.
He closes with the admonition that
bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, ma

kindness, tenderness, and forgiveness
to one another be put in their place.
