Departed This Life Feb. 17, 1950.
He is not dead,
Joe is only asleep,
He's resting up There
At Jesus’ sweet feet.
Here upon this earth,
Full of toil and care,
He was never too busy
Our troubles to share. *
About fifteen ’til five.
When starting our dinner,
Joe would knock at the door
And say, “Hey, we need a spinner.”
We would go to the door,
Have some kind of excuse,
Joe would scratch his head
And say, “What’s the use.”
He would wonder what was wrong,
That people would not work.
But go on to the next door.
His duty he would not shirk.
And now that he is There,
With Jesus on high,
There is someone we miss,
And we give a great sigh.
We all feel so sad,
We will miss that’s true,
But we envy his home,
Up there in the blue.
And when we come to the end of
our row,
We all look forward to seeing Joe.
For all Heavenly .voices together
will blend,
And leading them all will be i our
Joe Ben.

Some day
you may be
real mad at us
We wish we had time to sit
down with everybody in this
town and tell ’em personally
about the many kinds of mod
ern, inexpensive insurance
which most people should
carry nowadays.
You—for instance—may be
pretty sore at us some day if
you have a fire, a windstorm,
burglary or a boiler explosion,
or if you 4re sued for dam
ages, or lose a diamond ring
or a fur coat or a suitcase full
of clothes, or sustain some
other serious loss against
which we could have insured
you if we had tried to sell you.
We can’t be out selling
everybody in town all the
time, so won’t you help us sell
•you what you need. Ask us to
survey your insurance policies
soon and to tell you of any
gaps.
