Mr. and Mrs. S. V. Thomason, Jr. and daughter, of Spartanburg, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Norris Sunday. James R. Cox, accompanied by W. L. Leary, of Greenwood, spent sev eral days last week in Atlanta, Ga. on a buying trip for Cox Home and Auto Supply of this city. • Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Avery, of Rock Hill, spent the week-end with he^ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irby S. Hipp. Mrs. G. S. Yeldell and George Yeldell, of Greenwood, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Jeanes Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. William E. Espieg were week-^nd guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Ashley in Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Chaney were guests‘Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. James Davis in Columbia. They were ac companied on the trip by Miss Ev elyn Hazle, of Laurens, who attend ed a luncheon at the Wade Hampton hotel given by the executives of the Azalea Festival Corp., before going to Charleston for a several day’s stay. Brown will regret to know he is ill and is a patient at the Veteran’s hospital in Columbia. • Miss Barbara Workman, student at Furman -University, Greenville, spent the past week with her-- par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ace Workman. Miss Omega Mqnroe, of Greenville, and Dr. W. A. Lynn, of Lancaster, were here during the week-end for a visit with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Downs Monroe. r Mr. and Mrs. Homer Gantt, of Greenville, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Archie Dixon in Renno. Mrs. Gantt remained for a several day’s stay with her parents. Mrs. J. B. Ricketts, of'Greenville, spent several plays last week with her sister Mrs. Robert* Wysor and Mr. Wysor.. Mr. Ricketts spent the week-end here and accompanied her home. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Draughon, Jr., of Warsaw, N. C., spent the week end with her mother, Mrs. W. C. Baldwin, and other relatives.
