^ LAURENS COUNTY
MEDICAL ASSOCIATION
«
January. ?3, 1950.
TO THE CITIZENS OF LAURENS COUNTY:
It has been called to our attention that a cam
paign will be launched for a Laurens County
.Hospitalization Plan. A
This service is to be made available to every
citizen of Laurens County. Under the plan the
benefits may be paid to any recognized hospital
in the United States.
In the past comprehensive hospitalization in
surance has largely been limited to the indus
trial group of our citizens, but under this plan
similar benefits will be extended to those in
private employment, farmers, housewives, mer
chants, etc.
We are heartily in favor of such community
cooperative plans because we believe they will
materially help individuals spread the cost of
medical care in small periodic premiums and
will thus safeguard the individual against un
foreseen medical expense.
