Joanna Holiday Schedule
Johnny Moore, athletic director at
Joanna, has announced the schedule
which the Joanna Foundation wil.
follow in its holiday program.
Leaving from Joanna club house
at 6:30 p.m., Friday, the 23rd, a
group of carolers will' visit each
home where there is a shut-in and
will sing on each street corner in
the town.
Saturday, the 24th, beginning at 11
a.m., Santa* Claus will be driven
through the village to visit with the
children.
At 3:30 in the afternoon, he will
be at home at Joanna club house. It
is rumored that his pack has already
arrived from the North Pole and at
this open house party he will^ treat
the children to Christmas stockings
filled with a miscellaneous assort
ment of toys. An adult group, under
the direction of Mrs. Carson Nabors
will entertain the guests with Christ
mas vocal selections.

Shower Given for Mrs. Simpson
On Monday evening Mrs. George
Simpson was honored with a miscel
laneous shower at the home of Mrs.
Cecil McLendon. The home was
decorated in colors of pink and blue,
which made a pretty setting Tor the
party.
An hour of games was enjoyed, af
ter which gifts were opened. Re-
freshments of punch, cup cakes and
a cold salad with crackers, was
served. Mrs. Simpson received many ;

The Woman’s Missionary society
met with Mrs. J. B. Reeder Thurs.-

secretary, Mrs. Houston Ellis. Mrs.
Paul McCauley, program chairman,
had charge of the program, the topic
being, “Christ, the Answer for the
World.” Several members took part
on the program.
A social hour was enjoyed and
refreshments were served by the
hostess, assisted by Mrs. Ellie Reed
