Green in Ninety-Six Sunday. Mrs. David Satterfield and son spent the holidays in Winston-Salem, N. C., with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Crocker. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Willard of Cross i Hill, spent, Sunday with Mr. and, Mrs. Claude Willard. Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Land and family of Union, visited Mr. and Mrs. Willard the past week. Mrs. Essie Crowe of Cross Hill, spent the week-end with Mr. and i Mrs. Hugh Ballard. Mrs. Coley Abercrombie left Mon day for Norfoolk, Va., to join her husband who is in the navy. Carl Abercrombie has received his discharge from the army after 9 years of service ^nd is now at the home of his parenU, Mr. and Mrs. Josh Motte. Maxie Sellers and Jimmy Berry visited in Ninety-Six'Sunday. Capt. and Mrs. Floyd White and children of Hampton, Va., spent the holidays with the former’s mother, Mrs. Neal Ballew. Mrs: Fred Patterson and son, Mrs. , Brooks Patterson, Miss Kathryn Mitchell and Walter Patterson visited Fred Patterson, who is a patient in ' the Veteran’s hospital in Columbia, on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Whitmire had as i their week-end guests Mrs. Whit- mh-e’s sister, Mrs. Henry Davis, and children of Ware Shoals. , J. W. Self of North Carolina, has been visiting Spurgeon Todd the past week. Tuesday they left for Norfolk. Va., where they are stationed with the navy. i Rev. and Mrs. J. H. Tribble Company Phone 94 — Clin ton, S. C. Hobby Club Meets On Tuesday at 1 o’clock members Of the Hobby club went on a visit to several cloth shops in Laurens. Demonstrations were given on de sign, quality and fitness of the dif ferent kinds of cloth examined Pat terns were selected and the group brought back a good display of mate rial. They held their meeting in the community center Wednesday at 1 o’clock with the vice-president, Mrs. Jackie Williams, presiding. The roll, call and minutes were read by the secretary, Mrs. Ethel Cauble. Mrs. Elizabeth McLendon,’ program direc tor, made plans for the club to make Christmas gifts at the meeting. Mrs. Wallace demonstrafed a number of handmade gifts and for the first les son each club member made an-ap ron. The club will meet every Wednes day until after Christmas for the pur pose of completing the gifts they plan to make. Birth Announcement Fowler * Mr. and Mrs. Robert L.
