After games and contests following the Hallowe’en motif, the hostess served doughnuts and cakes. Baptist Brotherhood Meets The Baptist Brotherhood had their regular monthly meeting Saturday, Oct. 29. The men cooked their supper of fried oysters, stew and coffee. Fourteen members were present. On Sunday evening they filled the choir and rendered special music for the evening service. The bride was given in marridge by her brother, William R. Tinsley. Her wedding gown was of ice blue taffeta fashioned with an off the shoulder effect with self-covered buttons down the front bodice. The full hoop skirt was gathered at the waist and extended into a small train in the back. Her ice blue veil edged with wide lace was caught to the hair with a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a prayer book topped with white gardenias. Mrs. Tinsley, mother of the bride, v/ore a suit of brown gabardine with brown accessories. Her corsage was peach carnations. Mrs. Bowers, mother of the groom, wore a dress of black crepe with matching accessries and her corsage w'as pink carnations. Immediately following the cere mony the bridal couple greeted their wedding guests in the church vesti bule. After a Wedding trip to Atlanta the couple will make their home on Magnolia street in Joanna. A large number of out of town friends and relatives were present for the ceremony. Big Hallowe’en Party About members of the Junior department and their invited guests gathered at the Baptist church Thurs day night for a Hallowe’en party. The assembly room was decorated in the traditional Hallowe’en colors, orange and black. Miss Ruth Hair, led the group in several interesting games. Mrs. Bessie Hamm, Mrs. Ruth Thomas, Mrs. Ella Buchanan and Miss Boots Thomas served sand wiches, cakes and cooca.
