Popular Bride-Elect
On Saturday at noon an enjoy
able luncheon was given for Miss
Elsie Neighbors, August bride-elect,
by Mrs. John W Finney, Jr., and
Miss ;Dot Taylor at the home of the
former.
Pastel tints of pink, green and
yellow were effectively carried out
for the party both in decorations
and the three course luncheon menu.
Covers were laid for twelve w’ith
the hostesses' gift to the honoree
marking her place. Mrs. L H. Dav
idson, a bride of recent date, who
was a guest w r as also remembered.
Green streamers extended from
the outer edges of the table to a large
center bow above a single candle
in a crystal holder. On the ribbons
near the central arrangement were
placed glass slippers holding pink
gladioli which extended upward
along the ribbons. Elsewhere in the
home summer flow-ers were used in
S artistic array.

fin of Cross Hill, and William Glenn
Lovett, Jr., of Greenville, which
took place at 8 p.m. July 9 in Lib
