Rock Hill, spent several days last
week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Irby S. Hipp. Mr. ahd Mrs. Eugene

during the week-end for a Visit with
her parents.
Mrs. E. A. Richardson spent sev-
erel days in Columbia last week.
She also attended the commencement

The bride, given in marriage bv her
father, James DeForrest Stansell, was
lovely in her wedding dress of btidal
satin. The yolk, of marquisette was
• utlmed with a fold of satin and the

length train. The veil of illusion was
caught to her hair with a halo of or
ange blossoms. Her bjuquet was a
nosegay of white roses centered with
a white rrchij. She wore as on only
ornament a gold lav« Iier set with dia
mond^ a gift of the groom, which
was a pre ent fronj his father to his
mother.
Immediately after the ceremony a
reception was given at the home of
the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. J. H.
Washington.
Summer flowers were artistically
ai ranged in the receiving room and in
the dining room green and white were
effective in the floral adornment.

After the bride and groom cut the
first slices of the three-tiered wed
ding cake Mrs. Bonner Harvley of
Sit Greenwood, cut cake. Serving cake
and cream were Misses Inez and Geor
gia Young, Mona Blakely and Martha
Harvley. Miss Forrest Stansell and
Dr. Cabell Yeung, Jr., served punch.'
During the evening the bride and
groom left for a wedding trip. For
traveling the bride wore a white suit
with pink accessories and the orchid

Mrs. Marker is the attractive dau-

daughter of Mrs. J. H. Washington
and the late Rev. J. H. Washington,

has been connected with the Western
Union Telegraph Office here for the
past three years.
Mr. Marker is the son of Mr. and J
