Kindergarten Mothers Meet
The Kindergarten mothers met
Thursday morning with a good at
tendance. The president, Mrs. Ruby
Huntley, presided. Mrs. Carl John
son, program director, presented an
interesting program. Mrs. Rose Sat
terfield told the story, “Rabbitville
Elects a Mayor,” to the children. Af^-
ter songs led by Mrs. Satterfield and
Mrs. Johnson, the children were
served their mid-morning lunch by
Mrs. Jesse Boyce, Mrs. M. G. Over-
street and Mrs. R. E. Whitmire.
The club planned to have the Kin
dergarten Blaster eggg hunt next
Thursday morning. All mothers are
invited to meet at 9 o’clock at the
community center.
Prom Party Given
Saturday evvening Grace Danhoff
entertained a number of her •friends
at a lovely old-fashioned prom.
Spring flowers were used throughout
the community center. An Easter
motif was carried out in tally cards
and decorations. Dancing was en
joyed later in the evening. Refresh
ments of sandwiches, potato chips,
Clean-Up Night for Church
Wednesday evening under; the
lejadership of the Women of the
Church, a clean-up night was held at
the Presbytreian church. A number
of workers assisted in making the
church attractive for* Easter. After
completion of the work the group
met at the community center where
ddughnuts and coffee were served.
Scouts To Attend Church
Friday evening at 7:15 all Brownie
and intermediate scouts are asked to
assemble at the community center
for a picnic lunch and later to at
tend the revival services at the Bap
tist church.

Mrs. Claud Bennett honored her

Luncheon Club Meets Today
Invitations have been extended to
a large number of guests for the
regular luncheon club meeting to be
held today (Thursday) in the lounge
of the community center.
Mrs. Hugh Eichelberger Entertains
Story Hour Chib
Mcs. Hugh Eichelberger entertain
ed the Story Hour club Wednesday
afternoon with a party at the com
munity center.. After a round of
unique games refreshments were
served, featuring the Easter motif.
Climaxing the party was the sur
prise egg hunt participated in by
sixty-seven children, members oi the
club. Miss Kathryn Eichelberger
and Mrs. Art Freet assisted Mrs.
Eichelberger in entertaining the
children.
Club 16 Meets
Club 16 met on Tuesday night with
their president, Mrs. Meda Williams,
presiding. Plans were made for
their Easter party with their hus
bands as special guests.
The cliR) project this month is
cooking, cookies, plain and fancy
were demonstrated. At the next
club meeting each member will dis
play a sample of cookies made this
month. A sweet course and coffee
was served by Mrs. Daisy Hairston
and Mrs. Devola Hellams.
Easter Sunrise Service
The public is cordially invited to
Easter sunrise services to be held
at 6 a.m., Sunday at Providence
school. Breakfast will be served at
the community center following the
services.
