County Gas Tax
Shows Increase
With Each Month

The amounts allotted to the cqjVi-
ties this month are based on gasoline
tax collections in South Carolina dur
ing April. The distribution is made
on the basis of the number of licens
es sold in each county. One cent of
the six cent tax on gasoline is appor
tioned among the counties, while tne
: remaining five cents of the tax is
! retained by the South Carolina high-
