and Mrs. R. C. Adair entertained in
the living room. In the dining room
were Mrs. Pringle Copeland and Miss
Irene Hipp. Mrs. Robert Wysor and
Mrs. R. S. Owens poured punch.

and mints were served with punch.

Entertains With Party
Friday evening during the inter
mission of the Pi K A dance, Miss
Lillian Dillard entertained with a
party honoring Miss Terry White of
Mary . Baldwin College, Staunton,
Virginia who was the house guest of
Miss Mary Kent Wysor.
Throughout the Dillard home a
profusion of spring flowers, daffo
dils, cydonia and golden bell were
used in decoration.

Legion Auxiliary
Holds Monthly Meet
The March meeting of the Ameri
can Legion Auxiliary was held Tues
day afternoon, March ^16 at four
o’clock. at the home of Mrs. T. J.
Leake. Members of Mrs. J. B. Fron-
tis’s group were liostesses.
The president, Mrs. Frank Miller,
presided and the Legion ritual was
followed, after which Mrs. Hender
son Pitts led with prayer. Minutes
were read approved and the
treasurer’s report given by Mrs. F.
M. Slutts, secretary. Following a
short business session Mrs. B. O.
Whitten, Community Service Chair
man, assistediby Mrs. Wilmdt Shealy,
gave an interesting discussion on
“Ways Our Auxiliary May Be of Ser
vice to This Gommurtity.”
Later the guests were invited into

Installs New Officers
Installation services were held re
cently for new officers of the Auxil
iary of the First Preabyterian church.
Mrs: James Gray, president, gave
the scripture reading followed witn
prayer by Mrs. S. G. Dillard.
Mrs. George Brockenbrough gave
a summary of the years work for
the circles and reports of the cause
secretaries were also heard.
Mrs. Gray gave an inspiring chal-
enge to new officers and the new
circle rolls were read.
