Missionary Society Meets
The Woman’s Missionary Society of
Bailey Memorial church met at the
home of Mrs. R. M. Sullivan on Mon
day evening. Mrs. Eland Harris was
program leader, and gave the devo
tional. Mrs. D. C. Gregory led in!
prayer. A short business session was
iield. Members of Calvary Baptist
church and other friends had joined
the Bailey Memorial society in giving j
a surpise birthday party at this time;
for Mrs. D. C. Gregory.
An express package was delivered!

Mrs. R. L. Yarborough was hostess
to the Woman’s Missionary society
of Calvary Baptist church Monday
evening. Miss Inez Byrum presided
over the program. Mrs. R. T. Tram
mell gave the Bible study found in
Rev. 5:1-14. The program on “Mexi
cans,” was given by several leaders.
The purpose of the program was to
enable Baptist women of the South to
gain from the study a deep respon
sibility toward the Mexican neigh
bors struggling for religous free
dom.
