OFFICE SUPPLIES
For more than 30 years we have promptly and adequately met the
Advertising and Commercial Printing NEEDS of the business firms of
Clinton and this community. The good-will of our appreciated cust omers,
large and small, we prize above all else. This NEED we will cqntmue to
supply as we have in the past with modern equipment and a«*eompetent,
long-experienced staff, all of whom are life long residents of this city and_
who know the Printing business.
The fact that we operate a complete combination Newspaper-Printing
plant enables us to render a larger and better service to our customers.
It likewise enables us to produce advertising at lower rates for our many
advertisers, as shown by/the fact that our rate is substantially lower
than the standard rates recommended and approved by the National Edi
torial Association’s Advertising Committee for newspapers of THE
CHRONICLE’S type and with our large paid-in-advance circulation which
completely covers Clinton’s trade area. (These rates are open for inspec
tion by advertisers). Such a dbrnbination plant likewise makes it possible
for Clinton to have a BETTER NEWSPAPER as evidenced by the fact
that THE CHRONICLE (By Invitation Only) is a member of “Greater
Weeklies” of the United States, a national organization of selected news
papers with head offices in New York.
It is our constant desire and purpose to give Clinton a home news
paper, progressive, newsy, clean, reliable, and dedicated to community
service. We are adding new equipment (impossible during the war years)
to produce a better paper mechanically for our readers and advertisers,
and to improve and enlarge our news facilities. Our readers and adver
tisers know how well we are mating that NEED.
In our Commercial Printing department we have recently added new
type faces and installed a new Job Press purchased more than two years
ago, but due to war and post-war production conditions delivery has been
impossible until now. Another New Press on back order for a long period,
as well as additional assortments of new type, are promised by manufac
turers in the near future. We also plan to add a new type fast press to
further enlarge our Job Printing department. With these deliveries com
ing through soon, our plant will be second to none in a town this size. To
produce “All Kinds of Printing Except Bad” for our appreciated custom
ers we pledge our best efforts. They know how well we have met this
NEED in the past.
In our Office Supplies department we are now able to gradually re
plenish our stock with many items scared in recent years. Here you will
find all the handy little items and supplies needed to expedite office work.
Call 74 for Your Needs

Standard Prices as established by the Graphic Arts industry.
We appreciate your good-will, patronage and loyalty, which we will
always strive to merit. We have satisfactorily met your NEEDS for
