A vacation Bible school will begin
at the Lydia Baptist church Mon
day, June 9, to continue one week,
closing Friday, June 13. The school
will open at 5 o'clock and close at
7 o’clock. Enrollment will be Thurs
day, June 5, from 5 till 7 o’clock.
Junior G. A.’s will meet at the
church Thursday (today) at 4:30.
A revival is now in progress at
the Lydia Presbyterian church. Dr.
W .R. Turner, pastor of the First
Presbyterian church in Clinton, is
doing the preaching. A vacation Bi
ble school for young people ifc also
being held this week at the church.

bride of John Thomas Gallman of
Clinton, Saturday, May 31, at the
home of the officiating minister,
Rev. J. H. Walker.
For her wedding the bride wore
a blue dress with brown and white
accessories. Mrs. Gallman is the at
tractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
W. E. Ellis.
Mr. Gallman is the son of Mrs.
Paul Gallman of Red River.
The couple have returned from
a wedding trip and are now residing
