Mr. and Mrs. Lester Davis and Mrs. S. W. Prather and daughter Mrs. J. B. Cannon, Mrs. Lucy Charlie C. Madden Claimed By Death Chirlie C. Madden died last Wed nesday at his home near Greenwood following a critical illness of several weeks. He was a native of Laurens county and his parents were the late Walter Madden and Mrs. Mamie Wells Madden, both of well known Lau rens county fanjuftes. He was 45 years of age on April 1, having been born in 1902. Funeral services were held Thurs day afternoon with his pastor, the Rev. Denver S. Lee, and the Rev. J. B. Connelly officiating. Interment followed in Beaverdam church cemetery. Surviving Are his wife, Mrs. Sara Pitts Madden of Greenwood; his Stepmother, Mrs. Ray Madden of this city; two brothers, Floyd Mad den, Clinton; Everette Madden, Ware Shoals; two sisters, Mrs. Min nie Griffin, and Mrs. Ester Nelson, both of Clinton; two half-brothers, Roy and Lester Madden, Clinton. Leo Mims, 7-5, 6-3, J-2. Chrietzberg was the first man other than a Presbyterian player to get to the state finals in the past six years. • 1 1 a To Vaccinate Children Tuesday Mornings The P.T, A. committee on health in cooperation with the work of the county heahh department wishes to make the following announcement; All children who are planning to enter the first grade next fall who) have not been vaccinated or whose vaccinations did not “take,” can be vaccinated without charge by county health nurses. She will be in her office over the city hall every Tues day from 10 to 12 o’clock.. All who have not been vaccinated in the past seven years may also be vacoinated~tf'they wish.
