Plantation Tour
By Church Group
Visitors to the South Carolina Low
Country invariably sp^lrid part of
their time in a futile effort to wangle
their way into the plantations that 1
stretch along the five rivers that
flow into Winyah bay around George
town. But these plantations, that date
back to the; original king's grants of
the Wealthy indigtf and rice plariters
of Colonial days, are not open to the
public.
On Friday, April 11, nine of these
to the hair with a coronet of seed
pearls. She carried an orchid bou
quet sprayed with lilies-of-the-val-
ley.
A/ter the ceremony the bride’s par
ents entertained at a reception at
their home on Walnut street, during
which the couple cut a three-tiered
wedding cake. For traveling on a
wedding trip later in the evening to
the mountains of North Carolina, the
1 bride wore a gray gabardine suit
with black accessories and her cor
sage was an orchid from*her bou
quet.
Mrs. burner, the attractive daugh
ter of Mr: and Mrs. C. E. Galloway,
was graduated from Clinton high;

er to be placed on the windshield.
The money raised will be used to
repair the church organ, the first
built by an American firm 150 years
ago. 1 It has been in use almost con
