Hughes War Prisoner *
Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Hughes of
Great Falls, formerly of this city, re-1
ceived a message Monday from their
son, Charles, who is a prisoner of war
of the Japanese. The communication
follows:
“I am interned in Osaka Umeda
Bunsho, prisoner of war camp. My
health is usual. I am working for pay.
Please see that everything is taken
care of. My love to you. Charles.”
Caldwell Infant
Funeral services were held Sunday
afternoon at Bailey Memorial M. E.
Church, South, for Joe Walter, in
fant son of Rev. and Mrs. J. L. Cald
well, of Hemingway, formerly of this 1
city. He is survived by his parents.
Pending the hour of service the
body was at the home of Mrs. Cald
well’s sister and brother-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Estes Campbell on Jefferson
street. Services were conducted by
Rev. C. 1R. Anderson. Interment was
in Rosemont cemetery.
