Spectator Comments
On Men and Things
Some one asked me recently,
“What is coming: up before the legis
lature?” Well, the prohibition ques
tion is certain to loom large. The
“dry” forces had some large adver
tisements recently addressing the
citizens of the state on the dry issue.
Citing the majority of 58,995 for pro
hibition, out of a total vote of 319,727.
As a matter of fact, no one with any
political judgment can disregard a
vote of 189,366, and that was the vote
for prohibition.
The prohibition forces call atten
tion to our spending $50,000,000 for
