Agency To Collect
Tires For Government
The local Railway Express agency,
jj. W. Coleman, manager has been
designated by the government to col- j
lect and ship all tires offered for sale
under the tire purchase plan in this
j area.
The plan provides a way by which
passenger car owners with mote than
: five tires per car may self their ex- j
1 cess casings before mileage rationing >
begins on November 22. When mo- !
Itorists begin registering for mileage I
i rationing on November 9 they will |
be required to report the aerial num-
j bers of all passenger cars .they own.
j Gasoline rations will be denied those
who have more than five tires for
each passenger automobile.
To sell his tires to the government,
the individual should. telephone th<

up his tires and take them to a gov
ernment designated warehouse. The
owner will be given a receipt foy the
tires and will receive. his check, or
war bonds or stamps if he desires, in
payment from the government short-!
