Mrs. Flanagan’s husband, the Rev.
J. Arthur Flanagan, died recmtly in
a Columbia hospital following a brief
illness. He was pastor at the time of
the Whitmire Presbyterian church.

The tax levy this year is 27 mills,
the same as last year, divided as

mill, weak schools 1 mill, hospital
