The program was opened with the devotional by Mrs. Kenneth Hasel- den, choosing several passages froeft the book of St John. The minutes were read* and roll call answered with hone uses of milk liked most The local leado* gave a demonstra tion on home uses of wheat and dis cussed the food value of whole wheat. Song, “Sour Wood Mountain," was sung by the club. After a short business sesstoq, the hostess, assisted by Mrs. HasMcten, served refreshments. June Adair Celebrates Birthday With Party June Adair, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Adftir, whose fourth birthday occurred June 29, celebrat ed on Friday with a party. Twenty-two little friends were in vited for games and refreahmenta. The birthday colors, pink, white and blue, were cleverly carried out. Sloan Wed At Greenwood In a home ceremony marked by social prominence and beauty of set ting, Miss Alice Catherine Gaina of Greenwood, and Jama Park Sloan Margaret Webb and Miss Irene Hipp. Ribbon bearers were dressed alike for the wedding in floor-length dressa of shell pink mousseline de sole featured by lace-trimmed ruf- fta at vleck and shoulder line, fitted bodice with button-trim at back, and full skirts. They wore shoulda cor- saga of pink and blue flowers. Miss Mary Gaina attended her sister w maid of honor. She wore a dress of marquisette in a deepa pink sha<}e than the gowns worn by rib bon bearers. Her dress was charac terized by a fitted midrift, full bishop sleeva, .and a sweetheart neckline with collar-ruffle ova each shoulder.
