Hunter of the state Democratic party estimated today two party pri maries to nominate the successor to U. S. Senator James F. Byrnes would cost approximately $55,600. He based the figure on reports from party officials in most of the 46 counties who had been requested to calculate the cost in their greas. Byrnes has been chosen as an asso ciate justice of the U.
