The Joanna club was the scene of
a gay party Feb. 13 when members
of the Woman’s club gathered to

turned from an enjoyable visit to
her daughter, Mrs. W. P. Coker, and
Mr. Coker in Hickory, N. C. While
away she also visited her son, Romu
lus McDaniel, who is stationed at
Fort Bragg, N. C., for a year’s train
ing with the medical imit from Lau
rens. Unlike her son, “Hamp,” who
went on a vacation a few years ago,
spent all his time writing acquaint
ances back home, Uien,forget to mail
the cards, she remembered her Clin
ton friends. We received a card writ
ten at 11 o’clock Monday night from
Boone, N. C., where she was having
