OF CITY TAXES!
Notice is herdDy given that Town Taxes for the Town
of Clinton will be due and collectable between October
1st and J^ovember 16th, for the year 1940. The Tax
Books will be opened for the collection of taxes at the
office of the Town Clerk on October 1st, and will remain
open each day thereafter, Sunday excepted, up to and
th|ough Nov«nber 16th.
A penalty of ten (10) per cent will accrue on all taxes
not paid on or before i^iday, Noven|ber 16th, which
penalty will be in force through Tuesday, December Slat,
after which an additional five (6) per cent p^al^y will
laccrue.
The levy for current fieoal.year is 38V^ mills; 12 mills
for current operating expenses, and 26V^ mills for in
