SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM D. D. BOYD
I wish to announce to the people of Clintcm and surrounding territory that
I am no stranger coining to CUnton, as I was reared about 4 miles from Clin
ton, later moving to Laurens when I was five years of age, staying there until
I joined the army during the World war and serving two years overseas. Dur
ing that time my family had moved to Greenwood. After being discharaed, I
made my home with my parents in Greenwood and have been living in Green
wood ever since. I am proud of having the h(Mior of opening a store in my
home town and I wish to state that the number of years of experience that 1
have had in ladies' ready-to-wear and men's clothing, I feel I can bring to Chn-
ton the highest types of quality merchandise at prices you would ordinary
pay for lower qufdity merchand^. I will be at the stmre located next to Smith’s
Pharmacy mi our <^ning day, Friday, March 15th, and will be glad to meet
all my friends on that day. I cordially invite you to our opening.
Yours Sincerely,
DrDf^^BOmj
