Faim Outlook b
Better For 1940
Demand For Farm Products To
' Be Stronger, Says Extension
Service Bulletin.
^
CI««nson, Dec. 31.—“The ^ Agnciri-
iuml Outlook for South Ceroline,
Stars Of “G<we With *^‘ Wind^
1940,” is the title of circular 1776
published by the extension aervice of
demson college to give farmers and
ettter citizens the essential facts that
will help in a clear understanding of
the fanning stiuation and the eco
nomic conditions which effect agricul-
tuie.
Pointing out that the geneial out
look for 1940 is more favorable than
iy39 and that the defnand for farm
ptxKlucts as a whole is expected to
b<' stronger, the circular discusses
briefly the geneml situation, the ef
fects of the war. and production costs,
for 1940, an<^ then pa-esents data and
conclusions j’egarding the outlook for
\ aiious crops and livestock. '
Oops <liscu.ssed include cotton, cot-1
ton seed, t<ibacco, peaches, Irish pota^i
toes, jrvs'eet potatoes, watermelons and
tuther truck crops. The livestock dis-
<ni.ssions cover hogs^ dairy cattle, beef
cattle, work stock and -poultry. In all
cases there is infirrmation on supply,
<k-imand, and conditio-ns affecting the
prospects.
Circular 1776 is of course free for
the a-sking, and may be had from
Vivien Leigh-fright), playing the role of Scarlet 0*fltara in the
film version of “Gone With The Wind,” and Clark Gable, In the role
