Mrs. Deasie Brown died in a hos
pital in Columbia la< Saturday after
a lingering illness. The funeral was
held here and attemled by many
friends who gathered to pay their last
respect.

zel, and two daughters, Mrs. Mattie
Hayes of Goldville, and Mrs. Joel
Smith of Whitmire.
