WEDDING SATURDAY
A wedding centering the interest of
a wide circle of relatives aad friends
will be that of Miss Sadie Chandler]
and James Templeton Addison of
Goldvffi^, which takes place Saturdjay
afternoon, at five-thirty at the First
Presbyterian church. The Rev. D. J.
Woods, D.D., pastor of the church,
will perform the ceremony.
- Mrs. J. F. Jacobs, Jr., organist, and
Miss Collette Griffin and C. E. Gallo
way will render the wedding music.
The bride-elect will be given in
marriage by her father, Jodie A.
Chandler, and her attendants will be
her aunt, Mrs. Carroll D. Nance of
Cross. Hill, dame of honor, Mrs. Rob
ert Hamer of Eastover, matron of
honor, Miss Marcia Galloway, junior
bridesmaid. Little Tommy ‘Sherrill,
nephew of the groom, will be the ring
twarer. -•
Mr. Addison <will have for hjs best
man his brother, Tom Addison, of
Rock Hill.
The usher-grhomsmen will be: Wil
liam -H. Moorhead, Robert Hamer,
Fleming Mason, and George Dunlap.
The bride is the only daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Chandler of this
city. She is a graduate of the Uni
versity of South-Carolina and for the
past two years has taught in the
Clinton city schools. Since/^he an
nouncement of her-approaching mar
riage, Miss Chandler has been enter
tained at a series of lovely parties.,

American Legion Auxiliary was held
oil Tuesday afternoon at the home of
Mrs. Clyde S. Lankford. The meet
ing was opened with prayer,^by the
president, Mrs. Lankford. After
taking up several matters of busi
ness- the following officers were
elected for the coming year: Mrs. B.
O. Whitten, President; Mrs. R. ^I.
Pitts, Vice-President; Mrs. John W.
Little, Treasurer, and Mrs. George
W. CJhpela^d, Secretary. The follow
ing delegates w^re selected to attend
the state gathering to be held in Rock
