The talent scouts were warm in their praise of Miss Whitten’s voice and selected her out of many talented singers. She will sing under a con tract over stations in Philadelphia and New York. A day or two before Christmas at their home in Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Wingard were also pleasantly surprised when friends and members of his congregation there showered them with calces, fruits, meats, canned goods, etc., with similar holiday greet ings and beat wishes.
