amount donated to their upkeep dur-.

according to the report of the orphan .

The report, showed that 30 institu
tions in North Carolina were aided to
the extent af $95,985.81. The total of
1931 contributions in the Carolina? in
1931 was $141,022.00. or approximate
ly foven and two-thirds cents per day
for the 1.950,300 orphan day? of care
reported bv the applicant institutions.
The 45 in^^titulion.s aided have a bed
capacity of 0.707. and they care fi»r
an average of 0,057 children each day.
