Mr. Crawford married Miss Ida
Barksdale of Lauf-ens, who preceded
him to the grave in 1921. He was aj^
life-long member of the Little River
Presbi’terian church.
Mr. Craw’ford always nvanifested an
ir to rest in public affairs and was a
ti ue Democrat of unusually strong!
convictions. Back in the ’80’s he sen'- [ ^
ed two terms as county commissioner.' sas
In '76 he wore the Red Strirt—:

He was an upright gentleman, honest !;
in all transactions, and loyal and true
in his friendships, a memln'r of the

Mr. Crawford is survived by one
son, J. Roy Crawford, well known
farmer and surveyor of this sch;!ion.
Also by two sisters, Mis.ses Emma and
Dollie Crawford, both of Laurens.

The girls’ game was remarkably
free from fouls, only three personal
and two technical fouls being called.
The high scorer of the game was Mad
den of Laurens. She shot 14 points.
Holland of Clinton, was next with
nine points. The game was perhaps
the most exciting that the girls have
played this season.
The hoys appeared to be out to get
revenge for the high score that Lau
rens made against Them here January
26th. While., they were defeated, still
they played a game of ball that was
certainly superior to the former game.

points and Bolt, both of Laurens, was
