charities in Clinton to the extent of
appropriating $f».00 per month out of
the trea.sury for a period of six
months,
“Second, the Clinton Chamber of
I Commerce takes pleasure in seconding
I the appeal of the Woman’s club to the
city council for an appropriation of
I $100, or more if city council feels that
I conditions warrant a larger appropri-
;ation; this appropriation to be utilized
I by the Woman’s club, and managed in
[whatever manner they may deem ad-
advisable, and
I “Third, we strongly recommend the
mayor to give to the Woman’s.club
every possible co-operation through
the police department in making in
vestigations of cases of want, report
ing same, and assisting the Woman’s
club in the distribution of charity, giv
ing all possible co-operation to such
authorities as the Woman’s club may
put in charge of this work, and
“We recommend to the moral wel-
liaure,committee of the Clwton Cham-
jber of Commerce to join their efforts

giving ail possible support to the Wo
man’s club in the raising of funds for
charity during this winter season, and
