Half-Yearly Clearance
You may a.sk, “Ls morchandi.se that i.s exception
ally low priced for (Clearance de.sirable merchan-
di.se for me to buy?” Thi.s i.s a fair tpiestion.One
of the ba.sic policie.s of this store is to give .sati.s-
fying service to customers in the way of sufficient
varifdy and adeipiate assortment. It would be im
possible to have satisfying variety and assort
ment without having a larger selection than is
actually bought within a given pt*riod. At this
season of the year certain stocks and broken lines'
are mark(*d down for Clearance not hecau.'-e of any
short comings in iiualily or desirability, but be
cause they have .served their purpose in giving
greater range of choice, provided a sufficient rc-
.serve for any above-the-average demand, and are
price-lowered for C>learance prior to prPriaration.s
for a new .sea.son.
Clearancing
A Fable
0^0
Yes, Meyers-Arnold C^o.’s (>learance merchan
dise is worthy merchandise.
A store keeper once bought twenty pink dres.ses
and ten red ones. It was Spring, and the dresses
were light weight and low priced .so they were
soon sold, but curiously enough, the store-keeper
found himself all out of pink dresses when he .still
had four red ones left. So, being a wise store
keeper he ordered forty pink ones and five red
ones the next time, and then when Mid-Summer
came around, he had sold all of his red dre.sses and
had six pink ones left. The.se he marked at Clear
ance prices to makp room for Fall dresses. And
the moral — During Mid-Summer Clearancing,
buy from stores with long established fashion and
value reputations. Do this, and youll be sure to
get best .sellers — for that’.s the only kind alert
stores have left over to .sell at thi.s sea.son of the
year.
So You
May Know
Meyers-Arnold Co.’s Half-Yearly Clearance con
tinues through this week until 1 o’clock Saturday,
the 9th. Types cannot portray the loveliness of our
merchandi.se, price figures are inadequate to tell
you of values. The only way you can possibly
enjoy the charm of both is to come and see — and
that is what we urge you to do — Seeing is. be
lieving and seeing is FREE.
