Gift Is $6,382.64
The board of trustees of the Duke
endowment yesterday forwarded the
Thornwell orphanage .of this city, a
check for $6,382.64 as its share as
one of the beneficiaries-of the $80,-
1000,000 endowment set aside by the
late James B. Duke.
There are 26 North Carolina or
phanages and 18 in South Carolina
who are benefittlng from this per-j
