The exploits of Colonel Lindbergh, together with that of Chamberlin and Levine, have glorified the United States. But this glory was not offset by any rancor incurred by other coun tries. France'and Germany wer^ just as enthusiastic in acclaiming the ex ploits of our fliers as we were. These improvements, he stated, are absolutely essential to bring home games here and he asked the interest and support of the com munity in the effort now being made fortius purpopse. / A petition was read and adopted, to be presented to the Laurens county delegation in the General Assembly, requesting that next year’s'supply bill contain an approppriation for the re- coftstruction of the road from Jones Ford bridge on Enoree river to state route 56, just north of the Jacks place.
