THURSDAY, MARCH 28,1926 THE CLINTON CHRONICLE. CLINTON, S. C. COUNTY SUPPLY BILL CALLS FOR LEVY OF ELEVEN MILLS Appropriations for Administration Purposes Are Practically Same As Last Year. Gas oline Money for Roads. The Chronicle is publishing today the Laurens County supply bill as passed bv the county delegation shortly before the adjourn ment of the legislature last Saturday. The bill carries a levy of eleven mills and is practically the same as last year with a few slight amendments by Senator Goodwin. The two cents gasoline tax, with the exception of $20,000 com ing back to the county from the State Highway Department, is ol _ designated in the bill to be spent by the County Highway com- s* ~ mission m building and maintaimng certain roads.^ The sum of ~ $10,000 is to be turned over to the county supervisor foii the main tenance of roads traversed by the rural mail carriers in accordance with a plan recently recommended and adopted by the members of this association.
